WCT is proud to announce that Waimea Community Teen Theatre Troupe will present "Sondheim and Friends" at Kahilu Theatre on Saturday, 7/30, at 7:30 p.m.
An evening of mostly Sondheim songs, including songs from "West Side Story", "Gypsy", "Sweeney Todd", "Company" and "Into The Woods".
"Sondheim and Friends" will be presented by a talented group of teens including students from Hawaii Preparatory Academy, Honoka`a Highschool and Parker School.
A percentage of the proceeds will go towards KPAW - Keiki Performing Arts Workshop, the program WCTTT created to bring the arts into the public elementary schools and to home-schooled children.

Repertoire designed by the concert's director, Beth Dunnington, a professional actor/singer from New York who has lived on the Big Island since 2007. Her most recent project was as co-director for Parker School's production of "Les Miserables." Prior to that, she wrote and performed in the Prince Dance professional company debut production of "Que Suenes Con Las Angelitas" at the Kahilu Theater.
Musical Director and Accompanist Val Underwood has been the Artistic Director for Hawai`i Performing Arts Festival since it's inception in 2005. He is a renowned vocal instructor and accomplished pianist.
